The Benjamin Ashfordbaby that stole the show at Rihanna's Super Bowl halftime performance is here.
The singer and business mogul has welcomed her second child with rapper A$AP Rocky, according to People magazine and Entertainment Tonight. The new addition joins big brother, RZA, who was born in May 2022.
TMZ was the first to report the news. USA TODAY has reached out to the stars' representatives for further details.
Rihanna announced her second pregnancy in February during her halftime performance to the shock and delight of fans. The singer performed hits like "All of the Lights" and "Umbrella" in a custom red jacket and bralette designed by LOEWE which showed off the 34-year-old's growing baby bump.
She could also be seen caressing her stomach during the performance, a nod to her soon-to-be bundle of joy. The singer’s representative confirmed the pregnancy shortly after she ended her 13-minute set.
Rihanna and A$AP Rocky were quiet about the arrival of their first child last May, not giving fans a glimpse of the baby boy until December when the "Umbrella" singer shared an adorable video of the then 7-month-old to TikTok. The video features mom and baby riding around in the backseat of a car while RZA yawns, smiles and tries to grab the phone from her hand.
Then the photos kept coming. In February ahead of her Super Bowl show, RZA graced the cover of Vogue alongside his famous parents. In her interview with the magazine, Rihanna described motherhood as "legendary."
"It's everything. You really don't remember life before," she said.
The beauty mogul also voiced fears about the world her child and future children would grow up in. "Raising a young Black man is one of the scariest responsibilities in life," she told the outlet. "What am I leaving my kids to? This is the planet they’re gonna be living on?"
She teased in the interview that she wants to release new music "this year."
Rihanna has kept her pregnancy announcements unconventional. Similar to the Super Bowl reveal, the couple hinted that they were expecting their first baby in January 2022 with photos from a stroll through New York City that showed off the singer's pregnant belly. Rihanna wore a long pink coat unbuttoned to show off her growing stomach, adorned by long body chains that fell past her belly.
Rihanna revealed in March 2020 that she wants to have three or four kids within the next 10 years: “I know I will want to live differently," she told British Vogue of how she sees her future. "I’ll have kids – three or four of 'em."
